One of the disciplinary proceedings against Judge Ivo Rosa, which has been going on for almost a year, will be completed “no later than September”. Enrique Araujo, president of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, gave the guarantee today at a meeting with journalists. The new process was only confirmed three weeks ago.
The judge, whose promotion to the Court of Appeal was suspended because of these two cases, still wants to become a European prosecutor and will compete for this position with the magistrate who investigated the BES / GES case, José Ranito.
He is currently in The Hague, the Netherlands, in a court that is passing judgment on a businessman accused of genocide. But on Friday, he will be in Lisbon to deliver an instructive ruling on the Blood Mafia case involving former Socrates boss Paulo Lalanda and Castro.
