Now the pet is in the care of the nursery, which is trying to establish a close relative of the victim in order to save the animal. If no one is identified, the dog will be given up for adoption.
The dog bears some resemblance to Hachiko, the Japanese Akita, which has become an international cultural symbol of loyalty. It was said that Hachiko met his master every day on his way home at the train station in Tokyo. When the owner died while working in 1925, Hachiko returned to the station every day, waiting for the owner to return until he died in 1935.
