The sun and temperatures above normal for this time of year are weather forecasts for the Easter mini-vacation. In the Algarve, where one and a half million tourists are expected, Saturday will be the hottest day ever, with 30 degrees in Alcoutim, 29 in Silves and 25 in Portimão and Albufeira. Sea water temperature should reach 17 degrees. On the Algarve coast, waves from the southeast can reach from one to two meters. The nights are mild, with temperatures around 15 degrees. On Friday and Sunday in the Algarve, the heat is also felt, but with less intensity.
In Ribatejo, Santarem should break the record: 32 degrees are expected on Saturday. Setúbal has a predicted high of 30 degrees, Lisbon and Évora 29, Coimbra 27 and Porto 24. Nights will however be cooler than the Algarve, with a predicted low of 11 degrees in Lisbon and Beja and 9 in Évora. and Santarém. Due to flooding in the Algarve, hotel occupancy in Lisbon is around 90%. In Porto, Douro, Minho and Tras os Montes, the occupancy rate is also 90%.
