The Independent Union of Physicians (SIM) this Friday defended that the measures announced by the Minister of Health to retain young family doctors should be extended and that no solution has been found to the fundamental problem.
“The bottom line is to create conditions for all doctors of the National Health Service. [SNS](…) improve their working conditions, improve their remuneration so that they stop leaving social networks,” Indigenous Peoples Secretary General Jorge Roque da Cunha told Lusa.
The official spoke about the measures announced this Friday in an interview with the Público newspaper by the Minister of Health, in which Manuel Pizarro is moving forward with the opening of more than 900 vacancies for family doctors and with some innovations to attract and retain them. in the SNA, including pay increases of 40% in some cases and a model that assumes a commitment to mobility on the part of young doctors.
