Two of the nine arrested on suspicion of involvement in a drug trafficking network operating in northern Aveiro district will await progress in preventive detention, the GNR said Thursday.
The GNR said in a statement that the suspects were present at the first judicial interrogation at the court of Santa Maria da Feira, with two of them subjected to the most severe measure of coercion.
Also, according to the Guards, a coercive measure was applied to three of the detainees in the form of two-week appearances at the police station at the place of residence and the obligation to hand over their passports, while the remaining four were given a period of identification and residence permits. .
The suspects, six men and three women between the ages of 22 and 30, were arrested on Monday as part of the GNR mega-operation as part of a drug trafficking investigation that has lasted more than a year.
According to the GNR, the suspects operated online selling drugs in the municipalities of Oliveira de Azemeis, Santa Maria da Feira, São João da Madeira, Castelo de Paiva and Vila Nova de Gaia.
The operation included six residential searches and three non-domestic searches, resulting in the seizure of 109 doses of hashish, 2,100 doses of heroin, 1,819 doses of cocaine, 6,131 doses of MDMA (ecstasy), 25 doses of marijuana, and five bottles of nitrous oxide (laughing). gas).
