A cleaner was arrested at the scene of the crime on suspicion of aggravated theft on Tuesday in Oeiras. According to the PSP statement, the 42-year-old woman will deduct money from the house where she worked for several months without the knowledge of the owners. More than 80 thousand euros will be at stake.
“The suspect had just stolen 8,000 euros, after a search of her house, an amount of 22,800 euros was seized from the theft,” the authorities said in a statement.
The suspect was brought to criminal responsibility, a preventive measure was applied to him in the form of establishing his identity and place of residence. The case remains under investigation.
