The global IT failure has shown the right direction towards import substitution of software in Russia, the press service of Rostec Corporation reported in an interview with journalists on July 19.
“The computer failure that affected the whole world once again demonstrated the correctness of total import substitution of software in Russia”– said representatives of the corporation.
According to Rostec, all Russian airlines have fully switched to domestic schedules since 2023, and so were not affected by the problems of the global disruption.
We remind you that on the morning of July 19, Windows devices began to fail. This paralyzed the work of banks, airports and international media outlets, interrupted the broadcasting of television channels and disrupted the work of other industries around the world.
The cause of the computer “failure” was a new update to the Falcon Sensor cybersecurity application. Microsoft described this failure as the biggest in history.
