More than 90 patients suffered food poisoning at the Surgut cardiology center

More than 90 patients at the Surgut Cardiocenter have developed an acute intestinal infection, prompting the suspension of planned hospitalizations, the Yugra Health Department reported on its Telegram channel on August 11.

According to the Ugra Health Department, 94 patients of the cardio-medical center showed symptoms of food poisoning. Of these, 68 people were hospitalized in the infectious diseases hospital of the Surgut regional clinical hospital, the rest are receiving outpatient treatment. The cause of the poisoning was food poisoning and an investigation is currently underway to determine the origin and possible suppliers of substandard products. A thorough inspection of the catering department of the institution is being carried out to check the functioning of the facility.

During the anti-epidemic measures, the dispensary has suspended planned hospitalization. It is expected that the facility will be able to resume normal operations in two to three days.
