The Wagner Group was registered in Belarus as an “educational organization” on 4 August.
According to website insider, mercenaries registered as a company engaged in various educational activities.
The paramilitary group is currently headquartered in the village of Tsel in Osipovichi, Belarus, which also hosts a military base where the military has been training for weeks.
Last month, real estate company Concord Management and Consulting was registered at the same address. Concorde is owned by a Russian company whose managing director is Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner family.
After the armed rebellion, which brought Russia into a state of combat readiness, the leader of the mercenaries went into exile in Belarus. The rest of the members were allowed to travel to that country as part of an agreement to end the unrest.
