Russia says it intercepted more than 150 Ukrainian drones early yesterday morning against Moscow and in the Bryansk region on the border with Ukraine. Despite the massive attack, there were no reports of casualties. At least 26 drones were “identified and destroyed” by the Russian army, without causing injuries or damage, according to the governor of Bryansk.
Alexander Bogomaz said last week that the army had thwarted an attempt by a group of Ukrainian troops to invade the Bryansk region, adjacent to Kursk, which has been the scene of a ground offensive since August 6. Russian defenses also shot down an unspecified number of missiles in Belgorod and Voronezh, as well as in regions bordering Ukraine, and in the Lipetsk and Ryazan areas. “Windows were damaged in three residential buildings in Belgorod.
“The building in the private house was completely destroyed,” the head of the Belgorod region said. Yesterday, Zelensky once again called for using “all necessary means” to stop Russia. “It is entirely justifiable for Ukrainians to respond to Russian terror by any means necessary to stop it. Our cities are suffering enemy attacks around the clock,” the President of Ukraine wrote in X.
Russia launched over 160 missiles
Over the past week, Russia has launched more than 160 missiles, 780 guided bombs and 400 attack drones at Ukraine. According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army, Pokrovsk, Kurakhov and Kupyansk remain Moscow’s priority targets.
