The National Police have already confirmed that at least 13 people were killed in a fire at a nightclub in Murcia, Spain this Sunday. ABOUT El Espanol says the fatal victims may have been friends and family of Eric Hernandez, a missing Nicaraguan who was celebrating his birthday at the Teatre nightclub.
“On the second floor lived my aunt, my cousins, my cousin’s wife, a friend and a friend from Nicaragua,” he describes to himself. El Espanol Alan Antonio, one of the partygoers, tries to hide his tears.
Eric Hernandez, a Coca-Cola distributor, was celebrating his 30th birthday. Alan, Eric’s cousin, claims that he has not known anything about the family since the fire started and therefore it is suspected that the family were among the dead.
TO Is it trueAlan Antonio, who lives in Murcia, explains that he was with a group of 20 people aged between 30 and 50 for dinner at La Fonda, and then the group went to the Theater. All were immigrants from Nicaragua, except one from Ecuador.
Alan says he went home to bed and that around 5:30 a.m. he received a call from his wife, who was staying at the party, saying the club was on fire. “Out of the twenty people in my group who were inside, nine didn’t come out. They told us they found six bodies and it was agony,” he says.
“We looked for them in hospitals, but didn’t find them, and we were simply told that some bodies had been found and that we needed to go and talk to a team of psychologists. They wouldn’t give us any more information. I imagine the worst,” said Alan around 10:55 am. El Espanol.
