The emergency gynecology and obstetrics service and maternity ward of Braga Hospital will be closed from 8am Saturday to 8am Monday, it was announced this Friday.
A note published on the hospital’s website said that during this period, the maternity ward will remain open for women and mothers in labor who are already admitted there.
He explains that the problem is the difficulty of meeting the required work schedules, “despite the efforts of all parties involved.”
It recommends that in emergency cases, pregnant women and women giving birth in the region should go to hospitals in Guimarães, Vila Nova de Famalicão and Viana do Castelo.
