According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the areas of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro and Braga are under a yellow warning this Monday due to the forecast of periods of rain or downpours, sometimes heavy.
A yellow warning for these four counties will be in effect from 9am to 3pm this Monday.
The IPMA has also placed the areas of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga under a yellow warning level due to rough seas, with northwesterly waves of four to 4.5 meters forecast.
These six areas will be under a yellow warning from 12:00 to 00:00 on Monday.
A yellow warning is issued by the IPMA whenever a risk situation arises for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.
