The children of the missing pregnant woman in Mourtos, two boys aged 14 and 11, were heard by the judge for remembrance this Thursday. The children told the court about the last days they spent with their mother Monica Silva.
The last time the children spoke to their mother was the night Monica Silva disappeared on October 3, 2023. The woman called her eldest son around 11 p.m. and said that everything was fine and that she would be home soon. supposedly go to a cafe. Since then, Monica Silva’s whereabouts have been unknown.
The two children lived with their parents for about five years in a house rented from the family of Fernando Valente, the main suspect in the disappearance of the pregnant woman. Monica Silva went to Fernando Valente’s mother’s business every month to pay the rent.
The case was transferred to the Judicial Police of Aveiro.
