The final ceremony of the National Agricultural Prize took place this Wednesday in Quinta da Pimenteira in Lisbon. The purpose of this event is to give a voice to Portuguese agriculture, a sector that has faced some difficulties. For the 12th year in a row, BPI and Medialivre, sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture and supported by the consulting company PwC, partnered and contributed to this mission, recognizing the best that is being done in the sector.
The ceremony was led by the presenter CMTV Agata Rodriguez, who announced the winners in the various categories. Casa Relvas received the award in the Sustainability category. Quinta do Castro received the award in the Process Innovation category. In the Product Innovation category, the award went to Asfertglobal. Duck River Agriculture won the New Project Innovation category. The Institutional Award was presented to the BIPP Workshop. Finally, the Personality Award was presented to Arlindo Marques da Cunha, President of the Dão Regional Wine Commission.
The publication was marked by a large number of applications (1309) and ended with a speech by the Minister of Agriculture, Maria do Seu Antunes.
