Forecasts from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) indicate higher maximum temperatures this weekend.
On SaturdayIt will generally be very cloudy and there may be periods of rain in the north of the country, most often in the afternoon. There is also expected to be a noticeable cooling overnight in the Southern region and a slight rise in maximum temperatures in the Central and Southern regions, IPMA said.
Thermometers will remain below 20°C in the north of the country, but could reach 25°C in Faro and 24°C in Évora.
On Sunday the sky will remain cloudy and winds will be light to moderate (up to 30 km/h). IPMA predicts a further increase in maximum temperatures: thermometers will reach 26°C in Leiria and Santarem, 25°C in Coimbra, Évora and Setúbal.
According to the IPMA, above normal values are expected throughout the territory between 18 and 24 March.
