Civil Defense recorded 124 incidents between 00:00 and 19:00 this Friday.

According to the National Emergency Management and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), the civil service recorded 124 incidents due to bad weather this Friday between 00:00 and 19:00, most of which occurred in the Algarve and Greater Lisbon.

According to ANEPC Service Commander José Costa, “between 00:00 and 19:00 there were 124 incidents,” most of which occurred in the Algarve and Greater Lisbon regions.

None of these events had a significant impact, most of them being falling trees, clearing roads, falling buildings and flooding.

According to the same source, 459 operational personnel and 172 ground assets were on the ground, and Friday was “more calm” compared to Thursday.

According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), Storm Nelson is affecting the weather on the Portuguese mainland, where rainfall will remain constant until Easter Sunday.
