Common Front says secretary of state selection reveals ‘business-like vision’ for government

This Friday, the Common Front played down the significance of the move from the general government portfolio to the Treasury, but felt the new secretary of state’s path into the private sector reveals the government’s business vision in this area.

The leader assured that the Common Front does not make “value judgments about anyone,” but noted that the selection of the new Secretary of State for Public Administration, Marisa Garrido, who has professional experience in the private sector, “is a reflection of the vision of public administration: the vision of business, and not the vision of serving the public.”

Marisa Garrido has a degree in Business Management and was Vice President of IAPMEI, Director of People and Culture, member of the Transformation Committee and Ethics Committee of the CTT Group (from 2020 to 2023), member of the Steering Committee of DIA Portugal.
