Climbers were stranded for an hour on a mountain in China due to too many tourists. Watch the video

A group of climbers climbing Mount Yandan in eastern China were trapped for an hour on Saturday by an influx of tourists. According to news from globepeople were clinging to ropes along the mountain.

According to the same source, the company that runs the place Wenzhou Dingcheng Sports Development says it underestimated the number of people interested in climbing the mountain.

“Due to our poor estimate of customer volume, lack of traffic control and poor facility management, customers were left stranded on the climbing route,” the company said in a statement.

Despite this, the safety of the tourists was guaranteed, and anyone who wanted to leave could do so by demanding a ransom of 300 yuan (about 38 euros).

Mount Yandan is located approximately 410 kilometers south of Shanghai, in Zhejiang province, and its height is 1,150 meters.
