Lisbon’s Green Line was disrupted this Friday due to a crash at Alvalade station, the agency reported. CM Metropolitan of Lisbon. 500 people were evacuated, two were treated but did not have to be hospitalized.
The alarm came at 7:05 am. The incident mobilized the Sapadores of Lisbon, PSP and INEM. There were 25 militants at the scene, supported by eight vehicles.
The yellow line was also closed due to a signaling fault.
Metropolitano de Lisboa (ML) has launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash, the company said.
The ML operates daily on four lines: yellow (Rato-Odivelas), green (Telheiras-Cais do Sodre), blue (Reboleira-Santa Apolonia) and red (Airport-Sao Sebastian).
The metro usually operates from 6:30 to 1:00.
