“They’re already full of pantlers”: Pope Francis urges Italian bishops not to admit gay seminarians

Pope Francis used a highly derogatory term for the LGBT community when he repeated at a closed meeting with Italian bishops that homosexuals should not be allowed to become priests, the newspaper reported. La Repubblica And Corriere della Serathis Monday.

Italian newspapers reported that the pope said seminaries or priestly colleges were already too crowded with “frociaggine,” an Italian term that roughly translates to “panelirice.”

The Vatican did not respond to a request for comment Reuters.

Web site Dagospia was the first to report the incident, which happened on May 20 when the Italian Episcopal Conference opened a four-day meeting with a meeting with the pontiff.
