‘I’m in the race and I’m going to win’: Joe Biden rejects dropping his candidacy, says only God will make him give up

Joe Biden is determined and has once again said he will not drop out of the November presidential election. The US president says he will defeat Donald Trump for the White House. “Let me say this as clearly as I can: I will stay in the race! I will beat Donald Trump. Let’s come together, win this election, and oust Trump politically,” he said at a rally in Wisconsin. That same day, Biden gave his first interview since the debate against Trump and again refused to drop out. “If the Lord Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, drop out,’ I would drop out. The Lord Almighty is not going to drop out,” he told ABC.

The 81-year-old Democrat says “nobody is more qualified” than he “to be president or to win an election.” He acknowledged his poor performance against his Republican rival but insisted there was “no indication of any serious condition” about his ability.

“It was a bad episode, nothing serious. I was exhausted. I didn’t listen to my instincts,” he explained. Biden insists he will continue and that his health is not deteriorating, but he is under enormous pressure to resign.
