A 53-year-old driver suffered minor injuries when the car he was driving crashed in Aveiro on Saturday morning. Under circumstances that are still being investigated, the car entered the central part of a roundabout and ended up colliding with an electricity pole.
At around 10am, the Aveiro Velhos firefighters were alerted to a traffic accident in São Bernardo. The Aveiro ambulance and resuscitation team was also mobilised to the scene.
The PSP Aveiro was called and is investigating the cause of the accident. The Aveiro Velhos firefighters transported the victim to the Aveiro Hospital.
Aveiro Velhos firefighters called in seven operators and two vehicles. A picket of the company that supplies electricity to the street lighting network was also mobilized to the scene.
