The tanker Greta K, which suffered a fire in Foz do Douro in Porto on Tuesday afternoon, will undergo a technical evaluation of the Portuguese Navy frigate Corte Real. One person was shot in the arm and had to be taken to the hospital. There were 19 crew members on board.
Before carrying out any operations on the ship, technical crews will assess the condition of the platform and find out if there is still a fire.
“Once the safety conditions for the operation of the ship have been met, a destination port will be agreed so that the ship can dock and therefore carry out the remaining operations,” the captain concluded.
The 2016 Greta K has no past accidents.
