Former US President Donald Trump and “his” former Vice President Mike Pence are expected to open the annual convention of the National Rifle Association (NRA), the nation’s leading pro-guns lobbying group, on Friday.
The annual NRA convention will take place April 14-16 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, the capital and most populous city of the US state of Indiana, at a time when gun violence continues to rise in the country.
The main event of the convention is the Leadership Forum, scheduled for Friday afternoon, at which Trump is expected to address in person, and his rivals in the race for the Republican Party presidential nomination, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina, will contribute to this event through pre-recorded video messages.
