This Friday the Minister of the Interior showed himself available for hearing before the commission of inquiry into the PTP, stressing that he is “more than available” he owes at the request of the Chega party.

“It’s more than availability, it’s a commitment. Because the commission of inquiry has the right to seek clarification from any person in charge of administration,” José Luis Carneiro told reporters in Portimão on the sidelines of the launch of the Dedicated Rural Fire Extinguishing Device (DECIR) 2023.

The minister repeated in the Algarve what he had already told reporters in the morning in Setúbal, confirming that he had received a call from the Minister of Infrastructure on April 26 and then put João Galamba in touch with the national director of the PSP.

He also explained that what has been done since then is in the protocols and in the prosecutor’s office.

The case relates to the dismissal of Federico Pinheiro on the same night and includes complaints against a former deputy for physical abuse at the Ministry of Infrastructure and the alleged theft of a laptop computer, a case that is being investigated by the Ministry of State.
