A report on possible leaks of information in the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) documents to TAP was given on Tuesday to the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Augusto Santos Silva, a source in his office confirmed to Lusa.
The report, written by Alexandra Leitao, Chair of the Parliamentary Commission on Transparency, will now be submitted to the CPI in accordance with the procedure set by Santos Silva.
An internal investigation was requested by the President of the Assembly following two requests – from former CPI President, Seguro Sanchez, and current, Lacerda Sales – to report publicly disclosing the contents, documents and elements that were in the CPI’s archived documents and under secrecy.
The document, addressed by Lacerda Sales to Santos Silva, included information published by a daily newspaper in which members of the government exchanged messages about the dismissal for good reason of the former executive president of TAP.
