SDP MP Carlos Eduardo Reis announced this Thursday that he would sue TVI/CNN and said he agreed with the party’s position not to collude with illegal acts, hoping “high ethical standards” apply to everyone.

When asked about the political conditions for remaining as a deputy, Eduardo Reis said that this would be his assessment, which he would do daily.
“I am the one who gives this assessment, my business activities over the years are at stake, this is not my mandate here in the Assembly of the Republic, and not my public office. It is important that this line be drawn. “The trust, as you have seen, I have from all my colleagues,” he said, referring to the expressions of solidarity he received at the meeting.

Carlos Eduardo Reis justified his speech this Thursday at the collegiate meeting because the topic was brought up for discussion with the prime minister by the SDP parliamentary leader and for the purpose of “transparency and solidarity” before making statements to the media.

Carlos Eduardo Reis also stressed that he does not know the ministers Fernando Medina and Duarte Cordeiro, apart from their interaction as a politician, just like he does not know the architect Manuel Salgado.
