The Attorney General’s Office (MP) has charged a Vila do Conde riding teacher with 82 crimes of child sexual abuse and one dependent sexual abuse of minors, Porto’s Regional Attorney General’s Office (PGRP) said Thursday.
“The State Attorney’s Office considered it a strong charge that the defendant, a riding teacher and also a researcher of a horse riding site located in Vila do Conde, where the abuse took place, acted against two juvenile victims, to whom he repeatedly taught lessons, through comments and conversations of a sexual nature and physical contact of a sexual nature, ”says a note published on the PGRP website.
In the indictment, the prosecutor’s office requested that the defendant be subjected to an additional penalty “prohibition to engage in professional, labor activities, functions or activities, public or private, the implementation of which is associated with regular contact with minors.”
The MP also asked for compensation to be awarded to the victims.
Coercive measures are applied to the defendant, prohibiting contact with the victims and any other minors.
The order of indictment, administered by a deputy in Comarque Porto (Section Vila do Conde), was filed on Monday 22 May.
The defendant is charged competitively with 82 crimes of sexual abuse of children and one crime of sexual abuse of dependent minors.
