The Ministry of State (MP) has filed charges against six accused of violating city regulations regarding the construction of a house in Albufeira da Caniçada, in the municipality of Vieira do Minho. Among the defendants are the former chairman of the parish council of Canisada and Soengas between 2013 and 2017, two architects, one of whom is a senior technician in the municipality of Vieira do Minho, two patrons of private works and an agent of the municipal police. Vieira do Minho.
They are accused of forging documents or counterfeiting, abuse of office, violating city rules.
According to information published Tuesday on the website of the Attorney General’s Office, the facts occurred between January 2016 and July 2020 and are related to the “construction of a modern house” in the Albufeira da Hec area. We are talking about a violation of “the legal norms of urban planning and the procedure for the mandatory intervention of administrative bodies.”
In the same note, it can be read that since the land of the aforementioned house was in a protected area where construction was not possible, the pre-existence of buildings was simulated to “bypass the ban”, which, after all, never existed.
In the case of violation of the urban planning schedule, the deputy asks, in addition to condemning the defendants, to demolish the said structure, and in the case of the former chairman of the board, to sentence him to an additional punishment in the form of a ban on holding any position. As for the architect, the senior technician of the city council of Viera do Minho and the municipal police officer, the deputy also asks that they be sentenced to an additional punishment of a ban on their functions.
