A student was killed and a colleague seriously injured when a school was shelled in the town of Cambe in the southern Brazilian state of Paraná on Monday morning. The author of the pictures, a former student of an educational institution, was arrested.
According to initial information provided around 10:00 local time, 14:00 in Lisbon by the police and the city council of Cambe, a city of about 100,000 people in the north of Parana, the shooter is 21 years old, he entered the school, demanding a discharge from school at the office . In view of such a normal and harmless situation, his enrollment was allowed, but shortly after entering the premises of the school, the State College named after Professor Elena Koloby, the boy began to shoot at the students.
The student who was injured died on the spot, while his colleague, who was hit in the head by a projectile, was taken in serious condition to the Santa Casa de Cambe hospital by Samu’s emergency medical team. At that time, he was receiving first aid, and sources in the hospital, who preferred not to go into details, however, reported that the student’s condition was very alarming.
The reasons for this attack have not yet been disclosed, which has revived fear in Brazil of a new wave of violence in schools. In the first months of this year, Brazil, where such situations were not uncommon, experienced a bloody wave of attacks on schools and kindergartens in several states of the country, in which several teachers, students and other children were killed, stabbed to death or, as in the case of the invasion of a kindergarten in Blumenau, also in the south of the country, with an axe.
