Pope Francis suggested this Thursday that he is “all set and ready” for his visit to Lisbon during World Youth Day (WYD). The Supreme Pontiff has recorded two videos which can be viewed at website official representative of the VDD.
Francisco encouraged young people to attend this event. “I will be with you. Some people think that because of illness I cannot go. But the doctor told me that I can go to you,” he said.
The head of the Catholic Church also left a message dedicated to the involved workers of the security, health, food and cleaning forces. He commended the generosity of the many who “make and support WYD” by “burning hours of work” and not being “protagonists”.
“The journey cannot take place without you. Thank you for being a seed,” she stressed.
World Youth Day takes place from 1 to 6 August in Lisbon. More than a million people are expected to attend the religious event.
