Twitter owner Elon Musk said on Saturday that the social network has temporarily imposed daily limits on the number of messages a user can read to avoid “extreme levels of data collection and system manipulation.”
On Twitter, the businessman indicated that “verified accounts” can read up to “six thousand posts per day”, while “unverified accounts” can read 600, and in the case of “new unverified accounts” 300 messages. According to Musk, the limits, which “soon” could be raised to 8000, 800 and 400, respectively.
The announcement does not specify whether this daily “tweet” count is applied when certain messages are selected, or whether it covers all those that appear, for example, when scrolling the home screen, when viewing topics, or analyzing replies to messages.
