This Tuesday it was announced that ten employees of the nursing home in Aldeia da Mata, in Crato, Portalegre district, have won the prize of the last Millán draw.
According to SIC Notícias, the group was formed three years ago, at work, and has already won small prizes, but has never had such big prizes.
The winners will share 800,000 euros, since the prize is one million euros, but, as usual in amounts over five thousand euros, 20% of the value belongs to the Portuguese state.
For Violante Raposo, one of the awarded employees, the money that goes to the benefit of the state “may be transferred to the institution”citing the house where he works as an example.
However, €200,000 less didn’t ruin the housekeepers’ party, with one of the winners, Helena Costa, stating that “we cried, we jumped, it was emotion. I will believe only when I see the money.” credited to the account.”
Another player, Paula Pereira, said that “we’ve had this partnership for three years now and we always hope to part.”
They are still “learning what happened”, but they already have plans for what they are going to do with the money: paying off loans and other debts are some of the examples mentioned by the winners.
