Traffic on Highway 41 (A41), which was interrupted this Saturday afternoon in one direction due to an accident near Santa Maria da Feira, has now been restored, a civil protection source told Lusa.
According to the sub-regional civil protection emergency department of the Porto metropolitan area, traffic on the A41 motorway in a west-east direction, near the Nogueira da Regedura exit, in Santa Maria da Feira, in the Aveiro region. , was restored at 19:10.
Traffic was stopped due to a traffic accident related to road cleaning.
Initially, four people were seriously injured in the accident, but one of them, a 70-year-old man, died.
Three more wounded were taken to hospitals in Santa Maria da Feira and Vila Nova de Gaia in the Porto region.
