Two Portuguese were arrested by the Guardia Civil this Monday on suspicion of murder. Katya Santamarta, 57 year old woman from Relegos, Santas Martas, province Leon. The arrest took place in San Justo de la Vega, about 70 kilometers from Rellegos.
In accordance with El Confidential, the body of a woman was found with traces of violence in a well at the site of the victim, where the detainees had been living for the past few weeks. The woman sheltered workers who helped her with agricultural work on an organic farm.
The disappearance of the woman was reported by a friend on Friday morning. The search ended on Saturday afternoon when the body was found in a well. The Portuguese were the main suspects in the woman’s death, as they were not seen in Relegos this Friday, the Spanish newspaper writes.
