Anibal Pinto, 62, explains why he is running for office two years before the next municipal election: “Nominating for victory takes work and dedication. It seems to me that two years are needed for the people of Porto to learn about our proposals and our solutions.”
The lawyer, who is also a sportscaster with a passion for FC Porto, adds why he is now moving forward in politics: “I have always distanced myself from politics and Lisbon, but I accept this challenge for the sake of my city, for love and to repay that city always gave me.”
He believes that victory in the Chamber of Porto “will be available” as he feels the “affection and daily recognition from the people of Porto”. “I know it will be a fight against everything and everyone, but Porto and the people of Porto are used to it,” he concludes.
