A 21-year-old man says he was beaten by security guards at a nightclub in Povoa de Varzim last Thursday at dawn when he tried to protect a friend. There were several bruises on the victim’s body, mostly on the face, which prevented him from working. Another was also hospitalized.
The incident began with a small mess on the track, which was quickly settled, however, shortly after the guards kicked out a friend.
Facing refusal to pay, the friend is punched in the forehead. At this moment, the young man comes to the defense of his friend.
“After talking for a bit, they grabbed me… and I reacted, I tried to shake my hands off me. Please let me go and soon they were coming at me, punch after punch, knee after knee… bare from behind choking at the end, then I don’t remember much either. I did not lose consciousness, but it was the most severe beating that I suffered,” the victim said. cm.
In a panic, the remaining members of the group called the fire department and the PSP. After rendering assistance on the spot, the young people were taken to the hospital.
