The judicial court of Komarca Madeira on Tuesday accepted all 13 candidates presented in the regional elections on September 24, rejecting an application challenging Chega’s legitimacy, a source in the judiciary said.
“The shift judge directed the electoral process, having considered all revealed violations eliminated, and accepted for consideration 13 lists submitted for the regional elections,” the president of the comarca told the Lusa news agency.
According to Filipe Cámara, “the application filed against Chega’s candidacy was completely rejected due to the lack of legitimacy of the applicant, the absence of any reports from the Constitutional Court about this party and the absence of any procedural violations,” he added.
