The Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (IPP) announced this Sunday that it has “strengthened” its position in the 1st phase of the National Competition for Access to Higher Education (CNAES), reaching an overall occupancy rate of “over 70%”.
A source from the IPP told Lusa that 397 new students have been enrolled in the 1st round of the CNAES.
In its statement, the IPP explains that the global employment rate at CNAES is “over 70%” of vacancies, with “over 60%” of students placed in the first option.
Added to the enrollment of students from other modes, such as special competitions and international students, students of higher professional technical courses (CTeSP), graduate students and masters, the now known numbers added to the enrollment of students from other modes, such as special competitions and international students, represent “more than 600 candidates”, according to the IPP.
The IPP stressed that this number “may increase further”, given that some tenders are still ongoing.
These competitions show that for “the third year in a row” this institution will “surpass 1,000 new students” and is expected to reach a “significantly higher number” under the current scenario than received in 2022, as there is still a need to place students who will be candidates to 2.ª and 3.ª CNAES stages.
“After the completion of the first phase, there are still vacancies for the second phase of CNAES in the specialties of Agronomy, Communication Design, Basic Education, Computer Engineering, Biofuel Engineering, Equine and Tourism, which, as and in previous years, already with significant occupancy, considering all ticket modes,” they add in the message.
