This Sunday, the President of the SDP closed the party’s Summer University and took the opportunity to criticize the Socialist Party in connection with the housing issue.
“The state is not enough to solve the housing problem. What the PS wants to do in the housing sector is to lose the future,” he criticized.
Luis Montenegro also stated that one of the reasons for the party is “youth”. “Caring for young people is also about solving the problems of the parents and grandparents of these young people,” he said.
In the final phase of his speech, the PSD leader made it his mission to respond to the challenge left on Saturday by former Social Democratic President Durau Barroso about the importance of Europeans returning to governance next year. The party is working to “win the next European elections,” he assured.
The PSD President also talked about 13 government resignations and concluded by stating that “it is necessary to wake up Portugal and realize the lack of competence and leadership of António Costa”.
The Summer University, a 20-year-old training initiative for young cadres, traditionally acts as the party’s second “tenant” after the Pontal party, in mid-August – closer to the resumption of political and parliamentary activity after the holidays.
The publication, which was also marked by the theme of the presidential elections and the “message” of the former leader Durau Barroso on the importance of winning the European elections.
