Singer-songwriter and music producer Llamar currently lives in England, where he emigrated around 2019. Turning point in his life.
“It all started in a very natural way. I think most projects start the same way. It was through a music competition, in this case X Factor UK. I applied for participation in the program, for the graduation of 2019, I passed the casting. “but a very curious thing happened: the program was canceled. I think it’s because of the low ratings, and we also experienced this phase of Covid. That’s when Simon Cowell decided to cancel the program,” says the singer who took part in the program. the opportunity to start with the Pop and R&B styles that define the Llamar project, to which he has dedicated his last years.
There are eight singles released, one of them is “No Regrets”.
“It was the first lonely where I had the opportunity to work with professionals from the world of music, in this case Manon Grandjean, who won Grammy the best musical engineer in England. She works with big names like Ed Sheeran, Craig David, Stormzy, Arrdee. There are many artists associated with this sound designer and I had the opportunity to work with her. As an independent artist, I didn’t think it was possible to work with her, but it was pretty easy. That was one of the reasons why the project began to grow so quickly,” says the singer.
“My method of working was very natural, everything happened very simply. It all starts with studio work, at home, with home production. Then I write, and then I move to big studios. where I record and mix. At the production level for this project, I have selected a few people to help me. Great Musical Engineers: Granjean from London; Matty Harris from Los Angeles. Quite naturally, without pressure, we know what needs to be done, I do my part, which is often producing and recording. When I go into the studio, it’s these engineers who do the mixing and mastering,” Llamar says of how he worked on his music.
