The Office of the Minister of Housing reminds that the April 2023 tender was the first, during which the maximum rent limits were increased.
“This was also the last competition with fixed application deadlines. Since June, young people can apply for the program throughout the year,” the note also notes.
Single or cohabiting young people between the ages of 18 and 35 may be covered by the rental incentive program. In a pair, one of the elements can be 36 years old, and the other element can be a maximum of 34 years old.
According to the information on the Housing Portal, in case of a positive decision, the young person is entitled to support (subsidy) to pay rent for 12 months.
“The subsidy corresponds to a percentage of the income of a young person and is transferred to the SIB indicated in the application by the 8th day of each month. This percentage is reduced every 12 months until the 3rd year of support.
The first subsidy is granted after the announcement of the results of the tender, is not retroactive and can last for a maximum of five years or 60 monthly payments.
