According to Marcelo Rebelo de Souza, the issue must be dealt with “sensibly, in a timely manner and in a flexible manner,” which means “it is not necessary that everyone agrees with everything, but rather a very strong solid core that agrees.”
“It is open to others if they want to come in – if they don’t want to come in, they contribute by paying,” the head of state added, answering questions from journalists in New York regarding statements made this Friday by the EU High Representative for External Affairs politics Josep Borrell.
