President Chegi asked Miguel Albuquerque to fulfill his promise to resign after the PSD/SDS coalition failed to win an absolute majority in regional elections in Madeira this Sunday.
Andre Ventura demanded that the leader of the right-wing coalition have the “courage” to do so.
“Chega is not available for any mutual understanding with Miguel Albuquerque,” he emphasized, assuring that he had already spoken about this with the “new parliamentary leader” of the party.
Chega will make his debut in the Madeira Legislative Assembly in the next legislature, managing to elect four deputies.
In this context, Ventura stressed that the results show that “the Chega electorate is united, unchanging and firm, despite all the blackmail.”
