This Monday, the Public Security Police (PSP) is launching Operation Intimidation is for the Weak nationwide, promoting awareness campaigns targeting students, parents/guardians, teachers and aides.
In a statement, PSP said that until October 20, the date on which World Anti-Bullying Day is observed, it will promote awareness-raising activities on the topic of “bullying” and “cyberbullying” and will also conduct a social media campaign with ” sharing content dedicated to preventing this phenomenon and how people can help the victims of this crime and the aggressor himself.”
According to PSP, 2,708 incidents were reported by Safe School Proximity Teams last school year, 138 of which involved bullying (5.1% of incidents) and 38 cyberbullying (1.4%).
