The singer was performing at Catanheira de Pera and was returning home when the accident happened. According to a friend of the artist, Claudisabelle was talking to her mother before the collision occurred. The singer said she was tired, but fine. A source contacted by Lusa from her publishing house Nucafé Records limited herself to confirming the death of the artist as a result of an accident in Alcácer do Sal and referred to a statement published on her Facebook page.

“It is with deep regret, pain and sadness that we announce the death of singer Claudizabelle this morning following a car accident,” the post reads.

The publisher emphasized that “her voice, the joy and spontaneity that characterize her, make Portuguese music and all who have had the opportunity to know it and share it, poorer.”

In statements to Luce, the fire commander stressed that the car the singer was traveling in overturned after the collision and that the rescue effort included “pulling and pre-rescue efforts.”

The singer’s death was pronounced on the spot by a doctor in the Emergency and Intensive Care Unit (VMER) of Litoral Alentejano Hospital in Santiago do Casem, he said, referring to the fact that the body was taken to the mortuary of this hospital department.

Rescue operations involved 12 vehicles and 24 operational personnel, with the intervention of Alcácer do Sal, VMER firefighters from Hospital do Litoral Alentejano, Brisa and GNR.
