PSP/Porto, together with transport regulators, recorded on Friday 44 violations against drivers of misidentified vehicles using an electronic platform (TVDE) during airport checks, police said this Saturday.
The operation, carried out jointly with the Office of Mobility and Transport (AMT) and the Institute of Mobility and Transport (IMT), took place from 9:30 to 12:30 on Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport Avenue, in Maia, Porto district, PSP/Porto said in a statement.
As part of this action, 44 violations were recorded, in particular, due to the lack of a written agreement certifying the relationship between the driver and the TVDE operator, the operating mode, the inspection of vehicles and the installation of TVDE signs, he emphasized.
Customer solicitation and failure to block TVDE activities through the electronic platform are other violations observed, the PSP added.
A vehicle was also seized, which should have been impounded because it was stolen, and two allegations of fraud in obtaining services were filed.
The government has once again delayed a review of the law governing TVDE, expecting it to be completed in 2024, according to the state budget proposal.
Currently, five years after the entry into force of the law published in the Diário da República in August 2018, there are two platforms operating in the country: Uber and Bolt.
