An 18-year-old girl who went viral on social media after announcing she was pregnant with quintuplets has lost her children to miscarriage.
“At this sensitive time, we are here to inform you that Sarah has sadly lost her quintuplets. I sincerely request everyone’s understanding and not to spread false news. Sara is in a delicate moment, so please we ask everyone to understand,” reads a message posted on Instagram by the young Brazilian.
Sarah Silva, who lives and studies in the city of Niteroi near Rio de Janeiro, discovered she was pregnant at the end of October. In accordance with Globe, Sarah’s five children shared the same placenta and fertilized egg.
The pregnancy was the result of a relationship with Renan de Oliveira, a 20-year-old young man undergoing compulsory military service.
Neither Sarah nor Renan expected to have children so soon, since their relationship was recent. However, they accepted the pregnancy.
