Format CMTV “Final Duel” defeated TVI’s universal channel “Jornal Nacional”.
Released at 19:59 CMTVThe “Final Duel”, which accompanied the Guimarães-Sporting game, became the fifth most watched program on all Portuguese television, occupying two positions above TVI’s main news program, also broadcast at 20:00.
Program CMTV had an average audience of 6.7% and share of 13.7%. Below was the TVI channel “Jornal Nacional” with an audience of 6.3% and a share of 12.7%.
“Grande Jornal” of the CMTV channel, which started at 20.08, also beat the “Telejornal” of the RTP-1 channel.
Top news about CMTV it received an average audience of 6.2% and 12.7% share (same as TVI news, interestingly), while the first channel’s Telejornal only achieved 5.6% audience and 11.4% share.
“Grande Jornal” was ranked ninth in popularity in the overall table of the 10 most watched on Portuguese television, in which SIC had 4 positions, TVI 3, two CMTV and one from RTP-1.
A CMTV received an average daily share of 6.6%, well above the sum of all its competitors: CNN reached 2%, less than a third of the result CMTVand SIC Notícias 1.7%.
A CMTV has been the leader of the national information market for 20 months without interruption.
It airs on Channel 8 on all cable platforms, but not yet on DTT.
